“Second pair of these for me. Got me through two trail marathons and an ultra. Cushioned, robust and good on all terrains. My one complaint would be that the tread and back have worn down pretty quick for me. Still bought another pair though!”
“I have been wearing Hoka Challengers for running for several years and now on my 4th pair. I liked the idea of a pair with Vibram soles for tougher terrain. I’ve noticed with my most recent pair that there is slight rubbing around the foot suggesting a wider fit was needed. However these Speedgoats were way too big - too wide but also too long, despite checking my size on the Hoka website (which gave me same length as I’m already wearing, but recommended wide fit). Sadly I can’t say how these shoes are in action but recommend you get a fitting in store before buying, even if you have owned other Hokas before.”
“Went for the wide as found the regular width a little narrow on the toe and these are perfect. I have also sized up from my normal shoe size and so far they are very comfy/light and supportive.”
“Sadly my feet and Hoka’s are not meant to be. I have wide feet (imagine a fin ), but generally can wear a regular shoe. They looked great, but felt tight and restrictive around the base of the big toe and little toe. I didn’t like the feel of the upper, but I can understand that they would be durable. Glad I tried them on, found the digital Hoka measurement tool fun to use, so disappointed their not for me. Very happy with the quick and responsive refund from Northern Runner.”
“Third pair of Trail shoes I've tried while training for a trail marathon and these are the ones! Good combination of cushioning and grip makes them feel soft but secure. As someone with bunions and blisters from other shoes, the wide fit in these Speedgoats is much more comfortable. I went a full size up aswell, though in other trainers have only gone up half a size, as they do come up a bit small. They look good as well as feel good.”
