“I like Altra shoes because of their wide toe box ( I have short wide feet) The size 4.5 were true to size for me . I wore them untried on the road for an 11 mile trail run. They were grippy on the loose stones and track and mud but cushioned for the few road sections. Only one downside was lack of drainage after a deepish water bit but they were so comfortable.”
“They are extremely comfortable. I managed to do a 20-mile walking day on their first proper use, and no foot pain or aches whatsoever! I am very pleased with them.”
“I am a serious hill walker, long distance and British Nordic Walking instructor, generally out every day but suffered lately. I had a foot/ toes injury in 2017 and have been struggling with pain around my big toe and between my third toe and ball of my foot for past 3 years. Only pain free when wearing Keen sandals in the summer. I have been under the podiatry but finally got to trying Altra for a wide toe box. These are brilliant, I can even run in them which I haven't done for 3 years. Lots of cushioning so don't feel rough terrain under foot. They are now my everyday shoe, but I need an all weather for our generally wet and boggy moors. Looking to try and get all weather Lone Peak but so far can't get my size. Cushioning in the Olympus 4 though can't be beaten , so my first go to shoe. Vibram sole with long history of foot confidence on wet rocks perfect.”
“Amazing shoes! Chunky tread that’s brilliant in mud and technical trails. Very responsive giving plenty of bounce. To rubbing or blisters. I look forward to running in these every time.”
