“What I like; A refined version of the awesome Olympus, perfect for longer distances. Toe box feels a bit narrower than 3.5. Shoe feels more like a regular Altra trail show rather than the outlier of the range.
What I don’t like;
The middle set of lugs under the foot are showing signs of considerable wear after only 1 11km run - over mixed terrain on the John Muir way path outside Helensburgh.”
“The biggest compliment is that it does not deviate too far from the Olympus 3.5 that I loved and have over 500 miles in since mid-2019. Having only ran 30 miles in the 4.0 it feels just as stable and comfortable as the previous iteration. The cushioning and fit of the Olympus is perfect for my wider than average feet that take a pounding from my less the efficient gait, allowing me to run further and for longer with reduced impact and aiding quicker recovery.”
