“Ultimately I'm disappointed in these shoes and, for me, they didn't live up to the hype. After several 5k runs to "wear them in" all seemed ok (although not as cushioned as expected) so I went for a 10k run. After 7k the balls of my feet were unable to take any more pounding and I had to get a lift home. I should say that pre-purchase Northern Runner were great. Not sure what to do now. It seems an expensive and wasted purchase as presumably having worn them I can no longer send them back!”

The shoe is different to previous 1080’s - it is a lot tighter over the top of my feet - I think it’s because it’s a slighter different style. This wasn’t apparent until after I’d run in them a few times, so I can’t really return them. I did buy them online so I guess that’s the risk you take. No fault of Northern Runner - they have always been great in terms Sid swift delivery.”
