“I bought these for hiking and have been pleased so far. The wide toe box is a revelation: extremely comfortable, allowing for toes to splay naturally. Used for Peak District back packing trip. Grip very good on grit stone. Light shoe. Slight concern that the toe box has slightly detached from the front protector strip. If this worsens, I would be questioning durability. Cushioning is reasonable but not overly cushioned. You can feel the trail below your feet which aids stability. Seems to have stopped me going over on my ankle because foot naturally molds with the terrain. No blisters or Achilles heel issues. Not used for running so can't comment on using them for running.”
“fantastic shoe. very comfy even from first wear. have been on several trail runs so far. I am used to running in minimalist shoes such as vibrate 5fingers, so the zero drop design of the lone peaks allows me to easily run with the same gait and form. I am planning on taking them on a hiking trip to the highlands, where the good cushioning and very grippy soles will come in handy for sure.”
“I’ve worn most brands of trail shoe over the last 20 odd years, and as far as I’m concerned, these are the best. They’re incredibly comfortable and robust, while also giving plenty of feel for the terrain.”
“This is my first pair of trail shoes. I usually run in Asics 2E the fit was perfect I did not have to break in the shoes, but only walked and ran in them for a
few miles to start with. I had to get used to the zero drop. Great shoes but a totally different feel.”
