First pair of shoes that I can run in without pain (having tried many shoes recently). The wider toe box is a revelation for my MTP pain and really allows my feet to move naturally. Enough cushioning underfoot to allow for road running but not so stiff that the foot cannot move. Will be buying more of this make in the future.

I love these shoes. I have found it very hard to get shoes with a wide toe box and a low drop. These give me just what I need and they are very comfortable. I needed a size 6 rather than a size 5

I had considered Altras but found that for my feet, while I benefit from the roomy toe box, the midfoot and especially the heel of were simply to spacious. I heard that Topos were supposed to have a snugger heel and on confirmation of this from the Northern Runner team I bought these shoes. Dear reader, this was a mistake. The toe box was even wider and more comfortable than the Altra models I tried. The mid-foot was fine but I found none of the purported light arch support. The heel has a snugger fit than some Altras but this relies on a rather highly padded heel/collar, which I hadn't known. I have, admittedly, weird feet and this includes a prominent heel bone. I wanted to be sure the heel padding wouldn't rub or cause blisters but couldn't try the shoes on a run in case I wanted to return them. Instead I tried wearing them around the house with no real concerns. Finally, as the return window was closing, I tried them for a ten minute jog in my house and felt the padding but had no heel pain or blistering. The next day I went on a 20 minute outdoor run, committing to the new shoes after what felt like as much indoor testing as I could do. During that run my heels weren't locked down and my feet moved about a bit. This movement combined with the padded heel construction meant that these shoes ripped the skin of my heels open and the movement also saw my foot slide forward to rub my long second toes (told you my feet are weird) raw. I can't run in these and I can't return them. It's a shame because the elements of the shoes that work do really work (low drop, weight pretty good for an amateur like me, lovely room in the toe box). Unfortunately the flaws of the heel in particular mean they are useless for me. Others with a more conventional foot may find them suitable, though.

I have difficulty finding good running shoes as I have wide feet and bunions so have never bought shoes online before. Tried these as they have a wide toe box and had good reviews. Initially they pressed on my bunion but that disappeared after a couple of runs. Very comfortable now, glad I persevered. Would buy again
