“Love these! I’d previously owned the altra escanlante and found them heavy (280g for size 11). Also, I found the ultras to have way to much cushioning and I never felt safe with foot placement. The topos are everything I wanted, room for foot splay, light (235g for size 11, you can get the weight down more by changing the heavy but well cushioned insoles), they have cushioning but it’s quite firm and gives you great feedback. It would be more responsive if it didn’t have such plush insoles, but I would change these if using for a race. They have a nice tread which would work on dry trails...the fit is the comfiest I’ve had, glove like, no rubbing etc...and £30 cheaper than the escalantes (no ideas why people are liking the altras so much, maybe by those if you like running on jelly and not knowing what the heck you foot will do in anything other than a straight line)...”
