“The shoes feels good to run in on trails with grass and has a good level of grip. However, the sole feels very thin and is not comformtable on harder terrain.”
Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry that you don't like your Trail Talon 235's. These are a very minimal responsive shoe designed to give a high level of ground feel. Some people like this level of feel and the responsive firm cushioning allows them to get feedback so they can work on their posture and form.
If you prefer more underfoot protection then have a look at the Inov-8 Trail Talon 290 or if you prefer a low/zero drop shoe then have a look at the Altra Superior 3.5.
Best wishes,
Northern Runner Team
“A half size bigger (for ultras) so plenty of room in them, especially in the toe box so they do feel more like running bare foot than the same sized Peregrines they are replacing.
Grip is good but the sole is quite thin - you can feel more of the ground than usual, or at least with the Peregrines/x-talon 212s.
They are light though & very quick/easy to run in so on balance I think they'll do!”
