“Straight-out-of-the-box-excellence!! Instantly comfortable. I'm not a runner but a fast walker but these shoes provide all the comfort I need. A soft (but not too soft) bed providing the necessary comfort needed both on road and hard trails. The wide footbox is a joy. Yes these are my first-ever Topos, but they sure won't be my last!”
“Great shoes. I haven`t used them much, but they have a nice wide toe box. They are a bit like the Altra trail shoes. One thing to note is the toe box is not as deep(or High) as the altra shoes. I have just received a blister on the top of my foot, where the big toe is joined onto the rest of the foot. Yes an odd place! and a first for me. The shoes are well made but time will tell.”
“I've only done a handful of runs so far, but first impressions are good. The toe box is roomy, although the initial fit across the foot felt tight (but by the second run it had stretched enough to feel comfortable). I like the low drop. One of the runs was quite damp, and the waterproofing was ok (but not fab, as usual long for any shoe, wet grass delivered enough water into the shoe for me to end damp ... my previous saucony xodus shoes were better in that situation, but also not perfect). I'm suspicious about the tongue, in that it feels like it's not wide enough, so rubbish might get in, but so far that's not been a problem. There is probably not as much cushion in the shoe as my previous shoes (they feel like shoes that have already done 800km, rather than brand new), only time will tell whether that matters or not.”
