“These are great trainers. I bought them for walking around rather than running. Unfortunately I had to give up running due to a hip injury a few years ago. I have owned numerous pairs of vivobarefoot shoes and trainers, and also Merrell trainers too. The Altras are comparable to these great brands in that they allow my feet to feel and function as they were designed to. I tried on a pair of Altras last year and thought they felt a little big. When I ordered these trainers I went for a half size smaller than I usually use. This was a mistake! I had to send them back and order my normal size which fits perfectly. I have only been wearing these shoes for about a week but I can confidently say that they are possibly the most comfortable trainers I've ever owned. the cushioning doesn't bother me too much though I understand that it would put off some purists. I'm very happy with my purchase!”
