Wore these straight out of the box and went on a 26.2 mile training walk/run and they every bit as comfortable as expected. The extra ankle support offered by this version is just what I needed. The ankle area is extremely well padded and they’re just so comfortable. Despite the hot day, my feet didn’t get too hot but remained very comfortable throughout. Highly recommended!

I bought these because I had repeatedly sprained my ankle running in the "standard" Lone Peaks (having never had a problem with ankle sprains in other shoes). They have done exactly what I hoped, the ankle protection has given me back my confidence to attack the trails. They are especially good for running full-tilt downhill on uneven ground. The only reason I have given a "Good" rating rather than "Very good" is that the uppers tend to hold water rather than drain - other than that they're the perfect trail shoe for me!

I was looking for an ultralight pair of walking boots. I do a lot of alpine walking but have quite heavy supportive walking boots. I chose these because they are lightweight. What I didn't expect was the reasonably good water proofing, the very roomy toe box (I was getting quite sore toes in my old walking boots, but so far having done a couple of long walks these are fantastic for your toes), and the 0 drop. I found that my calves are a bit tighter after a long walk I presume because of the zero drop, but it does come with some information explaining that you need to get used to this. I'm going to take these boots with me into the Alps for a 2 week walk later in the year and my only concern is that the rocks will be felt through the bottom of the soul a bit more than my heavy duty boots. Very happy with the purchase however.

Unusual design but very comfortable. Was looking for wide toe box boot as I'm on my feet on stone and mud every day. Worn for a couple of weeks now and still good. Hopefully will help my feet recover and last a long time under difficult conditions

If you have wide feet these are, in my opinion, the best brand of shoes/boots for fast(ish)movement over middle distances. Initial thoughts are these are well made....I have worn for several 25+ mile walks and they have held up well.
