“Bought those running shoes at a bargain price from Northern Runner. Question is, would they deliver? First try on and they felt perfect. But how would they deliver on the run.
As an inital road test I decided an easy 5 miler (a slow stroll) was my best bet. Felt so good after completion I seriously considered repeating the effort. Plenty cushioning and yet a fair bit of ground feel.
My next test run was the same distance but with an increased tempo. Again the shoe showed its mark. Great ground feel and cushioning to match.
My final test run was an 8 ½ miler at a fairly even pace. Predominatly over tarmac with the odd 200/300 yards of grassy surface thrown in. Again the shoe more than held up in terms of comfort and ground steadiness.
Would not hesitate to recommend this shoe and Northern Runners value for money price made this shoe the real deal.”

These are my 4th pair of Torins - they have allowed me 1000s of km of trouble free running and they are the most comfortable shoes of any kind I have worn. Only criticism - they are spongy in the wet. If only Altra would make a pair with more water resistant uppers they would be perfect.”
