“I wanted an amplifier that stood out visually but ultimately was superb for music. My short list was Chord Ultima Integrated and McInotsh MA5300. Simon was kind enough to organise and run a demonstration for me between the two. While I love the McIntosh sound, I just felt the Chord Ultima was faster and had more nuances and intricacies where the McIntosh was a more solid, big sound but lacked some of the refinement that the Chord showed.”
