“I bought the Gold 300 5G to replace my ageing but highly regarded Silver RS6s, the Gold 300s dwarf the RS6s and the finsh on the Piano Ebony is simply gorgeous. Sound wise the Gold 300s are outstanding out of the box, at least a good 40% better than the RS6, the soundstage being the biggest improvement, as well as the sweet and smooth highs and clean and fast lows; Monitor Audio recommend at least 70 hours of normal listening before the Golds reach their best, so things are only going to improve. Best upgrade to my system yet, far surpassing any Amplifier or Source upgrade i have made, including my recent upgrade from a Pro-Ject Xpression III / 2M Blue to a Technics SL-1210G / Quintet Black S which at best was a 10% improvement. Nintronics were amazing too, done me a great deal and had no issues with shipping; free I might add,, needles to say they have gained a new loyal customer, look forward to dealing with them again.”
