“I liked the concept of making use of recycled plastic bottles. I was slightly concerned about the amount of plastic wrapping that came with the insulation, but I am not sure if this is avoidable. I found the rolls very easy to lay out, but difficult to cut and I ended up tearing them instead, which was effective but hard work. Although they are supposed to be non-toxic, it was very noticeable how much plastic was floating in the air around me. Wearing a good mask is probably sensible. I’ve always found Natural Insulations very helpful as a company.”

“In regard to 'Supersoft' 100mm thick rolls made from recyled plastic bottles which I used for loft insulation - this is a relatively light material, easy for DIY installation and importantly it does not cause any irritation to skin. Upper-storey rooms are notably cooler in summer as compared to previous standard fibreglass. A second layer applied a year later to achieve 200mm (300mm to previously hottest room) has further reduced summer extreme heat within the upper-storey rooms. The seemingly superior quality of 'Supersoft' insulation easily outweighs any additional cost of this material over and above fibre-glass. It's very satisfying to be contributing to the re-use of plastic waste at the same time as benefitting from lower heating bills.”

“Supasoft insulation - excellent product & service - it is the second time we have used it, the first was complete loft insulation in our new build eco house, this time as a top up layer over the existing insulation in our eco retro fit bungalow. It makes a huge difference to not only the insulative qualities, but it is beautifully clean, easy and safe to use without any mask or goggles”
