Top quality replacement aftermarket direct coil pack for the Mk2.5 VVTI. Supplied complete with a new plug tube, these coil packs represent exceptional value for money. Two are required per car.
Fits all 1.8 Mk2.5 VVTI models, 2001>2005
Please Note: This is the coil for the later 1.8 Mk2.5 where there are two coils that sit directly on top of a spark plug.

“The coils on my Mk2.5 were aftermarket ones fitted six years ago so when the engine developed a misfire, I believed they were expiring. I replaced both coils with further aftermarket ones plus new leads and new plugs but the fault was actually the MAF sensor! Hopefully the new coils and ignition equipment will stand me in good stead for a few more years. Good service from MX5 Parts”

“After trying these I feel the 1 star rating is a bit harsh. Had an intermittent misfire which I suspected to be a faulty coil pack, but wasn't 100% sure if this was the issue so figured I would try one of these first rather than splashing out £100 extra for the genuine part. Have covered a few hundred miles since fitting it, so far the misfire seems to be cured. It wouldn't push down all the way onto the spark plug at first when installing (the rubber seal on the end is maybe slightly larger/stiffer than the original part?) but seated into place nicely after tightening down the two 10mm bolts. Of course quite possible it won't last as long as a genuine coil pack but happy so far.”

“Awful awful quality. Bought 2 coil packs to replace the ones I had before I went on a long trip. These lasted not even 1000 kms before leaving me stranded on the side of the road, ruining my holidays. Got a pair of genuine ones elsewhere and much better off. I'd give these 0 stars if I could.”

“The plug tube is longer than my original coil pack which makes the new coil pack sit a few milimeters above the engine .When we tried the new coil pack with my original plug tubes I got cylinder misfires and check engine light after 10 min drive.”
