We are pleased to now have available this superb short aerial kit courtesy of IL Motorsport in Germany. Measuring just 17.5cm long, the kit comes supplied with a 32mm adaptor for Mk1 & Mk2 models, a 17mm adaptor for Mk3 & Mk4 models, and a plastic ring to help finish off the bottom of the aerial (not required on all models). This great quality aerial gives clear and perfect reception and is also fully DAB compatible.Fits all MX5 models, 1989>Please Note: This only fits Mk1, Mk2 & 2.5 models that have a manual aerial currently fitted. If you have an electric aerial you will need to change the aerial base to a manual version.

“Bought this stubby aerial kit for my NC1. Fitted in less than 2 minutes. Finished off with plastic chromed base cover. Expensive for what it is but finished job looks fantastic. Radio reception as normal. Just get one boys and girls, no more poking your eye out walking past the car. 10/10.”

“I have tried a number of aftermarket aerials on my MK4 and this one comes the closest to looking right. The supplied plastic collar properly covers the base of the aerial so the silver bit on the base doesn't show. I'm not sure how it works as i haven't had it out on the car ( lockdown and all that...) in good signal areas i'm sure it will be ok...weak signal areas maybe a problem for DAB but FM ought to be fine.”

“I bought one of these for my mk3. Really easy to fit, and it fits perfectly. No lessening of quality of sound from radio on all frequencies. I certainly recommend it. Importantly, it looks good as well.”

“Ridiculously easy to fit and works absolutely fine incl DAB. I've travelled around North, South, East and West Yorkshires, North Lincolnshire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire and I've noticed no difference in DAB quality compared to the OEM original. It looks smart and discreet and I don't worry about poking my out when washing the car!!”
