Bump stops are an essential part of the shock absorber, eliminating over compression and in turn harsh bottoming of the suspension. “It would have been very nice with some clear instructions on wich end that should be up, or down, or towards anywhere. I apparently must have placed mine the wrong way. They came out like jelly after some miles. There is apparently different schools of thought here, but flat side down (towards the ground) is clearly wrong for these.”

“These bump stop splitted in half in less than 15 000km (9000 miles) with Kyb Gas a Just shocks (great shocks) and OEM springs. However MX5Parts had great support.”
