“Sensor was shipped to me with the plastic bag already cut open - could've been an already returned item ? The delivered aftermarket TPS sensor was also defective - the resistance of the idle switch pins is wildly out of spec. These sensors should be installed in a position where 0,3mm feeler gauge between throttle stop screw reads continuity and 0,4mm reads no continuity. Old original sensor reads _10Ohm and _10Megaohm when positioned correctly. The lowest possible reading from the new sensor from mx5parts.co.uk is 100 Ohm. In this position it'll also only read 10-20kiloOhm - that's not how continuity and non-continuity works. Best I could get after fiddling with the position for 30minutes was 200Ohms with 0,3mm feeler gauge - nowhere near continuity - and 10kOhm with 0,4mm, also way off. Obviously this causes problems with idle on stock mazda ECU. Despite offering to even record a video documenting the defective item / out of spec sensor I was told I can only return the item on my own cost(15-20Ç) after sorting the necessary customs documents. That's not worth either my time or money. Can't recommend buying this sensor!”
