We are pleased to now have in stock these 100% plug and play reversing camera kits courtesy of IL Motorsport in Germany. The camera has a 170 degree viewing angle and displays a very clear and full colour image on the centre display when reverse gear is engaged. The camera display offers a 720 x 480HD resolution and a 30fps frame rate, and can also be used when dark due to the night vision functionality. On the display you get distance reference grid lines and a centre line for easy parking. When fitted, the camera itself is very inconspicuous and can only be seen when crouching right down under the rear of the car. Being plug and play the installation of this kit is extremely easy, and even comes with a 22mm hole saw to drill the hole in the bumper for the camera. Click here for a very good fitting video!Fits all Mk4 models 2015> including the RF.Please Note: Although this kit is easy to fit, as the video shows much of the interior trim has to be removed. Although this may look daunting it too is surprisingly easy and as noted by several member of the team here, if our Operations Manager can fit one in less than 45 minutes then anyone can! Please also note, one thing the video doesn't show is that you must disconnect the cars battery before fitting the camera.

Very happy with purchase, fraction of the cost of genuine Mazda item and peace of mind when reversing with the hood up especially if it’s raining, had a local specialist fit it as I didn’t have the time but due to quick fitting time at very reasonable cost, works really well and clear.

Brilliant bit of kit. Watching the fitting video is very daunting however providing you follow the steps removing the various trim really is very easy however took longer to fit as I took time to ensure I didn't break anything. Hardest part was refitting the monitor unit due to the extra cables. Do not bother running the cable down the drivers side as I took it down the passenger side to save removing more panels than necessary.

This is a really excellent piece of equipment that brings your Mx5 into the modern times, it's totally plug & play & costs less than half of the factory one!All panels & dash parts come loose very nicely & fit back just as easily.I was super scared with the idea of pulling my almost brand new RF to bits but by just follow the video step by step, everything came good.Getting the cable into the boot is more time consuming & frustrating than what the video indicates but finally the cable threader popped through.Tips:- Slow & steady, take your time!Don't use the hole cutter to cut through the double side camera mounting tape or you'll destroy it like what happens in the video. If you leave fixing the camera until last then you can easily align it perfectly to point backwards using the image on your screen.

This is a brilliant piece of kit and a fraction of the price of the Mazda original parts costing £350 (two parts required). I did plenty of research on fitting and took my time (over 3 hrs to fit) and although there is nothing hugely difficult about the job (the trickiest bit was amazingly getting the cable from the cabin to the boot), it is not for the faint-hearted, especially if your car is new. Nonetheless, the end result is worth the effort and picture quality is excellent. Engage reverse and up pops the rear view image. The tram lines are narrower than the car width so you need to consciously gauge the extra width but the centre line is very helpful. Night vision is a real bonus too. Overall, delighted with the installation and the operation.

It was rather easy to fit even if it took me 3 hours due to taking It really slow in order to avoid breaking any clips. Mounted the cables on the passenger side instead of driver side since I didn’t want to dismount the drivers panel. Highly recommended.

Fitted yesterday to ND RF, quite a struggle to get the cable from the cabin through to the boot, took somewhat longer than the 45 minutes! but then I did test the camera after pulling the cable but before the hole cutting. Used masking tape to protect the bumper whilst drilling.
