Genuine Mazda Accessory
Genuine Mazda accessory clear perspex windblocker. Made from tough polycarbonate, it has the MX-5 logo stamped into the frame and as you would expect comes with all the required fixings, full fitting instructions, and even comes wrapped in its own cleaning cloth!
Fits all Mk4 model, 2015>

“Cuts down backdraft over standard windblocker. Easy to follow instructions and easy to fit pull out standard unit locate ne o e into existing slot and drill 2 small holes. Much easier to fit than o e I fitted to NC although the NC one was a little taller.”

“Purchased this as I’d heard it was better at reducing buffeting in the cabin. Arrived and installed as instructed, but could not get it to stop rattling! It was driving me mad, I’d screwed it in to the headrest as instructed, and after a few attempts I took all the trim out behind the seats and added craft foam to every joint I could find but still couldn’t stop it. Removed the wind deflector and found the positioning ‘prong’ had snapped which I wasn’t happy about. I’d been gentle with it and careful when positioning. In the end I took it out and put the original back in and to be honest it was no different ant stopping the wind to the Perspex one and the rattling stopped! Also, I don’t know if the dimensions are out but the Perspex doesn’t sit flush but sits about half an inch proud of the frame. It sits flush when not in the car but as soon as the frame is between the seats the Perspex doesn’t fit. Shame as it looked good.”

“The original is simply the most beautiful and can be installed quickly with good instructions. And the soft top can still be opened with one hand while sitting in the mx5 nd. Closing the soft top can still be done in the usual way. Best Regards, Peter”

“Expensive, like all Mazda accessories, but it is good.Very easy to fit, and while you don't need the two screws that go into the style bars it does vibrate and shake at higher speeds without it. Slightly harder to open/close roof with it in place but it gives a decent reduction in flutter around your left ear so makes long high speed trips with the roof down more comfortable.You need the cleaning cloth though, it seems to get quite grubby.”

“Easiest add-on ever. Reduces wind over left shoulder and ear. Probably not as much as having the windows up but better than the standard windblocker. Comes with a large cleaning cloth as you have to look through it using the rear view mirror.”

“Far superior to the original black perforated plastic device. Expensive, but no more so than other aftermarket ones. Easily fitted - just needs one screw each side into the roll bars. It fits precisely, there are no gaps around it & it looks like original equipment. This is the one that Mazda should have fitted in the first place, it has no equal. You won't regret buying one, & it looks really great !!”
