This product looks great and the installation is a breeze. As its a solid mass it can be ice cold on start up and its better wearing gloves. Adds to the interior and matches other silver it the cabin

To be fair I was excited to receive this chromed knob for my NC MX5, but soon as I got it and fitted it I noticed some problems. One of the problems was that the chrome plaiting came off in my hand whilst screwing the knob down and it left a horrible gap between the shift boot and the actual knob.

Bought via eBay, very quick delivery as always. I had a cheap generic metal knob before this and the difference is immense. Weight is perfect and no spacers required, although as with other reviewers I did need to put on a pair of leather gloves for the grip to turn this another half turn so that the orientation was correct. Massively recommend!

Looks really smart an added bit of bling, would suggest you use some thread tape wrapped round the gear stick to help keep the knob in place and tight.

I have just fitted the chrome gear knob to my 2007 Mark 3. It is a tad smaller in size than the original black gear knob that was standard. (But not by much). As one other review states, I had to really tighten it hard so that the gear detail on the top was at the correct level. When driving the car the gear knob does tend to slacken itself off slightly for some reason so an occasional tightening is needed. However, it is a very good looking addition to the car, with the chrome standing out effectively. It certainly adds a touch of class. I would certainly recommend buying one if you want to add a touch of bling.

Love this! Bought to replace the standard rubbery thing on my 1993 S-Special. It’s pretty much the same size and weight as the original gear knob, and is a straight screw-on without having to use spacers or adapters like you may have to with a general-purpose gear knob from a car accessory shop. When tightened up the H-pattern diagram was at the wrong angle, so I did have to wear grippy rubber gloves in order to force it round a bit further so that it was correctly aligned, but on the plus side the H-pattern markings are beautifully engraved and looks far superior to having a horrible wee sticker like some gear knobs have. Beautiful, buy one!
