After the tremendous success of these brace bars on the Mk1 & Mk2, IL Motorsport have done it again with this incredibly high quality, superlight rear strut brace for the Mk4! Made from ultra light weight aluminium, this brace fits across the shock mounts in the boot, strengthening the rear of the car for dramtic improvements in both cornering and overall handling. “buy it! can't put it plainer if I tried.took around 90 minutes to fit to the Recaro, shed some blood, lost a little skin but wow is it worth it, very tight working space so take all the time you need, you'll need it. but once fitted, the back end feels planted and seems to twitch a hell of a lot less, well worth the small outlay for a major handling change!”

“I have made a small number of changes to my MX5 ND suspension set up including eibach pro springs, 15mm spacers front and rear, 215/45 Contisport tyres and Cravensport door bushings. I hesitated for some time before fitting the rear strut brace but I'm really glad I did. It completes the package. Most noticeable is just how solid the back end feels. It removes the sensation that I sometimes got when taking bends on poor road surfaces where the rear end seemed to skip out a felt skittish/jittery and that has now gone replaced with a predictible solid feel. No hollow rattles and the whole thing just feels more planted. It actually just makes the car feel like a more upmarket vehicle without taking away any character. I wouldn't say it transforms the handling but it does make a real difference and inspires confidence. Not too hard to fit, allow about 1.5 to 2 hours. Takes up no useable space in the boot and the carpet templates are spot on. Highly recommended.”
