“I fitted mine, according to the instructions, in October 2016 and they really looked good. However, recently they have started to come apart - the black plastic inserts have become detached from the aluminium on both right-hand and left-hand items. The adhesive between the insert and the metal has clearly failed after only 10 months on the car. Very disappointed.”

“Good quality items which improve the look of the car and usefully help to stop those scuff marks. Easy to fit but as others have said just put them in place and draw round them with a pencil before cleaning up the sill and fitting. CARE: the adhesive grips straight away so there are no second chances.”

“Very easy to fit, know need to follow the fitting instructions. just use your eye and place them in the correct position and mark this with a pencil the rest is as easy as A B C . They do look really good wen fitted.”

“The sill plates finished off my new mk4. My husband had them fitted in 10 mins. I am really pleased with the look of the. Practically,not sure if they will prevent much scuffing,but they give the desired effect.”

“easy to fit , before you remove any of the tape check them against the body work for fitting. I marked mine out with a pencil , did not use the temp sheets to much work then clean the boby work with wipes that came the kit , put the glue down removed the tape on the plates pushed down on them when fitting . Took 10 to15 mins all done looks great,”

“These look good when fitted, but what a faff to fit. You need lots of patience !l You are supposed to cut out flimsy paper templates, which dont lie well when taped down to the plastic side to be fitted on. Then you have to wipe a tiny sponge soaked with adhesion promoter onto the plastic without getting any of it under the edge of the templates. All impossible. I scrapped it all just using the small paper template for the"Inner trim panel front edge" taped in position as a guide. Then i positioned the plates, and pencilled around them to give an edge to wipe the promoter to and from. Leave to dry for 3 minutes, hold your breath, and go for it. Once stuck, its stuck !. As I said. THEY DO LOOK GOOD.”
