“Had to use an impact wrench to remove the old bolts. Having read some other reviews about fitment, I fitted the bolts losely at first. You will need a deep socket to enable you to tighten the bolts. Fitted well. The only issue is that it now catches speed bumps, which it didn't before.”

“Added this to the previously fitted front-lower and centre braces, having been encouraged by the improvement in the feeling of solidity that they gave, so expecting this to add to that. Would be easier to fit if the main fixing hole centres were a better match with the chassis - had to open them up by 2 or 3mm before the bolts would go back in. Not too difficult to do, but meant crawling in and out under the car a few times before I got it right. By my reckoning the centres are about 5mm too close together.”

“Nicely welded, strong and nicely painted. But fitment was 50mm off on every thread. Not really the best product out there but for the price you pay you get what you get. Looking back I shouldÆve paid the extra, but looks and performance is what I got so I canÆt complain too much. As a whole I.L Motorsport is not the company to go for if youÆre looking for good quality parts that fit dead on. So far had a flywheel and top mount brace and both again, Shocking fitment. Pay the extra money to avoid the pig of fitting”

“was very happily surprised by how big a difference this made. my mx5 nc feels like a higher quality car now. i fitted this along with the rear lower (bar) brace and the upper strut (boot) brace. has transformed the feel. suspention works better now. car isnt crashie over rough pothole areas anymore. it lays the powerdown better. all the bodyflex in the rear has gone. combine these braces with coilovers or new shocks n springs and the il motorsport anti roll bars and your mx5 will feel and handle like a 100grand supercar. which for a price tag of between 1600 to 2k in parts is extreamly good.”

“Bought this to strengthen the rear subframe as it felt the least braced than the rest of the car. Car feels much more stiff at the rear and more stable over bumps. Would love to do the X and front brace next”
