Shock Absorber Boot/Bump StopReplacing your shock absorbers or springs? Now is the time to change the boots. Because these boots also act as the bump stops, it is vitally important to replace them when they are worn out. This used to be prohibitively expensive. Now, with our massive buying power, we have managed to reduce the price on this part to below a third of the Dealer price! Four are required per car.Fits all Mk1, Mk2 & 2.5 models, 1989>2005

Ordered 4 of these early July 2011. Back two were fitted later that month when I also fitted new dampers, front two fitted in September. By March 2013 the back pair have totally disintegrated and the front two are both split. Not impressed at all with this as I would have expected them to last at least a few years.Editors Note: Thanks for the review and sorry to hear you have had problems with these items. A member of the customer services team will be in touch soon to arrange for some replacements to be sent.

I used to joke about my car having racing car suspension. My 20 year old Mx5 was very bumpy, uncomfortable and low to the ground. A broken rear spring prompted me to replace all four Shock Absorbers (Standard), Springs (Standard), Boots (my old boots were completely in bits) and Gaskets (To prevent squeeks). Now feels like a completely different car, it now feels like a brand new car to drive. Very smooth to drive and a lot higher (now my rear bumper and the bottom of the car no longer hits the ground while going over humps and pot holes). Well worth doing.Quick delivery on all parts that were in stock.

Very poor quality . Had them just over one year and they have fallen to bits !!!Editors Note: Sorry to hear youi have experienced problems with these. Although they are just out of warranty, a member of our customer services team will be in touch to see what we can do for you. We have recently changed supplier of these boots so any supplied more recently are now being made in the UK from a different grade of rubber.

Very disappointed. Fitted a set of 4 when I swapped my shocks for some KYBs. Seven months later the boots are in tatters having disintergrated into many bits. Better off sourcing some alternatives.Editors note: Sorry to hear you have experienced problems with these. As they are well within the warrenty period, a member of our customer services team will be in touch soon to arrange a replacement set if required. We would also like to have the old units back if possible as we would like to return them to the manufacturer for their comments.

I bought a set of shock absorber boots last year and fitted them in august 2010.While doing some work to ball joint rubbers today (10/04/2011) I noticed that the shock absorber boots have broken into at least ten separate bits.NOT a GOOD PRODUCT.
