fitted these to my 92 mx5 and for the price they are so worth it (would recommend getting a full polly bush set and do them at the same time) i found for me a good setting is about 2 inches from the bottom of the thread but thats me, did notice that if you wanted it real low the adjusting nuts catch the drive shafts, they have made a surprising amount of difference and the ride comfort hasn't really changed but you can feel the car stays alot flatter through the corners

I bought and fitted this suspension to a 97 NA, it has improved the handling of the car dramatically and the car still rides fairly well, however it is firmer than stock. I think I have the car too low at the rear as it does bounce a little at speed, which is a little unnerving. I shall experiment with the height before getting the geometry realigned. For £350 I think this suspension is great value for money if you want a fast road car! I haven't been on the track yet but it feels like it will be a bit soft.

After breaking a spring on the short journey to MOT, I wanted to improve the suspension on my Kreg Eunos 1.6. I have owned this car for many years and the handling has always been tired. Dont buy new boots with this kit as they are not required. Measure the wheelarch height before starting the job to give a reference. Rears are straight forward, use spring compressors to shorten the spring before withdrawing the old unit from the car.The trick with the front pair is to undo the drop link (get some new bolts- mine were in a terrible state), use the skinny spare wheel bolted on to the hub backwards - then you can use a knee to press down and keep both hands free to wrestle with the shocker. Loosely fit the top cap to the turret - not to the coilover - and with the spring height setting at the lowest, it is possible to persuade the new strut, with both main and keeper spring, to get in to place. I spent many hours trying to find how to fit the front pair when assembled normally, and this trick will save a lot of swearing!.I set the ride height to be pretty much the same as before, rear adjustment near the top, front a little above half way.Now bedded in with 600 miles on mainly B roads and country lanes, I am most impressed. The ride is firmer, but not jarring or crashing, and I have not noticed bump stops even over sleeping policemen. The main difference is in cornering, with no other modifications, the wallowing, slightly frightening tendency to oversteer has gone, and I am really enjoying the drive. I recommend this kit as good value - I just wish I had done it years ago.

I only fitted the coilover kit yesterday so have not had a chance to go for a proper drive yet. However the 4 mile drive to work has already shown me that the little car is now transformed. Before where the car would crash over bumps and get all fidgety, it is now poised and soaks up most of the bumps with ease. I haven’t been able to push the car hard yet due to the lovely English weather but there is no body roll compared to the standard setup.I cannot believe how good they are. Even my friend who knows a thing or two about suspension could not believe the quality of the ride. For the money this coilover kit is bang on!
