Lockwood Two Piece Woven Mesh Gille Set, Mk3If you're looking for a grille that will not only protect your radiator but will also look beautiful, then this is the MX5 Grille for you!The upper and lower mesh grilles are supplied as a set to give the only protection your radiator will have against stones and other road debris. Hand crafted in the UK by Lockwood, these grilles not only protect your radiator but greatly enhances the beauty of of your MX-5.The mesh for both the upper and lower grilles is premium 316 grade Woven Stainless Steel. The mesh for the upper grilles is, welded onto a bright annealed stainlelss steel rim. The lower grille does not require a stainless rim because its edges are not visible when fitted. Then both grilles have been electro-polished to give a permanent lustre. The bolts are also stainless steel.Both grilles can be fitted within 30 mins (fitting instructions included).You can then rest assured that your radiator is protected, allowing maximum air-flow to the radiator and that these grilles will keep their stunning good looks for a lifetime.Fits all Mk3 models, 2005>2008

“Just finished fitting this and it certainly gives the car a sleeker look, much better than the black plastic. The lower one is cable tied to the inside of the intake and you dont notice the ties but you also will not notice the grill as its hidden from sight most of the time. The zunsport lower grille is better in this respect. I also bought the chrome fog lamp finishers to put on my black blanks and the clear repeaters so the whole front of the car has been transformed. All took a bit longer than 30 mins though.”

“Do not hesitate, ignore the price (although it is very reasonable for the product you get) and just buy this. It recommends removing the under panel but to be honest you only need the front screws out and there is enough room to put your hand behind.it was fitted in about 20 minutes and transforms the front of the car, you go from dull black boring grilles to something that you can't stop looking at, can't recommend highly enough....”

“The upper grille was a bit out of shape and took some gentle bending to make a decent fit. Had to put it on and remove it several times before it looked right. The lower grille is obviously a bit of an afterthought. very sharp edges and fiddly to fit. I fear that in the long term it could puncture a pipe that runs along underneath the bumper. Also, it is held on with plastic ties. Very tacky. With a length of chicken wire and some pliers I could have made something similar in about 5 minutes! Not a very serious piece of kit in my opinion. Mind you, It all looks great once fitted though I spent at least 2 hours on it altogether. The people from MX-5 parts were very helpful when I called with a query. Great service. Thanks. I'm only giving it three stars, though.”

“Update:Well my fears have NOT come true. After several hundred miles through North Wales, Devon and daily commutes there is no sign of any rattles and the Grille looks great. I intend to fit the same to my wife's MX5 in the not so distant future, I will just be a little more careful when fitting the lower grille !”

“As usual excellent service from MX5parts. However, while the quality of the grille is not to be questioned I do have issues. The top grille is fine, fairly easy to fit and BOLTED on. The lower grille is totally different with sharp edged, and yes there is a warning on the fitting instructions, it get worse because it is simply held on with cable ties, short cable ties at that. I can't believe it won't rattle and I can see it being removed at a latter date. For the price I did expect better. Oh yes - it took me more than half an hour to fit ! and it rained !”
