This came as part of a timing belt kit I bought about 6 months ago, last night it snapped, I use my car daily for work and has covered about 7k miles in that time, well under what a timing belt should last. I use plenty of other IL Motorsport parts on my car which are still working fine, maybe a bad belt or just my bad luck. Either way wouldn't recommend this belt if you use your car regularly and actually do a fair bit of mileage. Time to do another timing belt, this time in winter... fun.

Don't be put off by the bad reviews!Had this on my track mx5 since the day I rebuilt it. Done 4000 miles always above 5000rpm and at the red line. Not had a single problem with it, timing is still spot on.

Snapped after under 10,000 miles and genuinely could have killed me if I was on a faster road.Editors note: Sorry to hear you\'ve experienced problems with this belt. A member of customer services will be in touch to discuss the matter.

Not impressed at all. Stretched ALOT I\'ve got this on my new engine and it\'s only done 500 run in miles and it\'s already stretched so much the slotted tensioner is maxed out. It\'s only the fact that I have exposed cam gears that I can see its stretched. If your fitting this in the standard cam cover be careful. Absolute rubbishEditors Note: Sorry to hear you\'ve experienced problems with this item. We\'ve sold a large number of these and not had any other issues so a member of the sales team will be in touch with you soon to see what we can do.
