4.7 Rating 10 Reviews
Read MX5parts Reviews

From the MX5 race series directly to the street. Up to now only available for the race cars in the Max5 series, they are now available for everyone. Higher horsepower and aggressively driven MX5's will benefit from these rubber mounts as they are 40% stiffer than the standard. Engine mounts keep everything in line by minimizing flex, which will allow the most power possible to reach the rear wheels.Supplied boxed as a set of two.Fits all MX5 Mk1, Mk2 & 2.5 models, 1989>2005

Lets start on a positive, Having a M45 supercharger fitted to my 94 1.8 Eunos i was starting to experience vibration/knocking noises? On reading forums on the subject i found changing the engine mounts to these competition ones may be the answer! How right they were as the noises have gone. not being a racing driver i cannot tell whether it has changed any other driving characteristics? The parts were delivered next day as usual, 1st class service.Finish on a negative.Bought these on the 25/11/13 for £63.26On writing this review today 29/11/13 i find mx5 parts have reduced the price to £56.94I understand they are a company and moneys money but the timing for a reduction here was PANTS.I have used mx5 parts for many years now and will continue to do so, i just feel a bit let down...Editors Note: Sorry you feel let down by this, however the reduction in price is due to a 10% special offer on everything on the website that finishes Monday, at which time the price will go back up again. We haven\'t singled out this product or timed the offer to go out just after you placed your order, the offer is valid for a limited time on every product we sell and ultimately every offer has to have a start and an end date. All said and done, we don\'t like customers feeling let down so a member of the sales team will be in touch shortly to see if there is anything we can do for you.

These seem like an ok product, but unfortunately when fitting mine one didn't quite sit flush (a nib was a touch too big for a slot i seem to remember), so instead of filing down the nib slightly and refitting, i tried to tighten it flush and the bolt sheared off. Whoops. My mistake, but perhaps worth bearing in mind if you are fitting, as these are not oem parts. As for fitting, i seem to recall this was relatively easy albeit awkward to reach. no crane, so jacked up and on to axle stands, then jacked up slowly on sump and gearbox at the same time to help spread the weight.i think replacing all rubber parts on 15/20 year old mx5 is good idea
