“Wish I had read the feedback before ordering. I too opened box all excited only to find a very expensive filter with NO cold air feed, no silicone hose to attached to the MAF and if you have a standard air intake as most would do, there is no way of fitting the air sensor unless you drill a hole, plus NO oil either.I am awaiting a response from MX5 parts, but strongly presume it will be having to send it back for a refund.Very disappointed, please update your description and make it clear. I will now have to go to demon tweeks or someone for one with the cold air feed.”

“lightning fast delivery as always... great customer service....but very disapointed ... this pipercross viper is a waste of time as its not the full viper kit ....there is no cold air pipe feed so this filter is a open system so does nothing to stop hot air getting In to it .....so may aswell stick to a much cheaper pipercross cone filter or k&n for identical results.... as having a carbon fiber housing does naff all to block heat getting in when there's a massive hole on the front sucking In all that hot air from the exhaust manifold ....I didn't find this out until after Id ordered it and got it then opened it all excited only to be very disapointed seconds later, as thought there were bits missing plus there were fingerprints and smudges all over the filter!... but aparently pipercross say they don't bother putting the cold air pipe In etc as there's not enough room for it In an mx5s engine! .... nice..!....mx5parts are fine and have offered a full refund and I simply wont ever be buying pipercross ever again and will stick to what I know which is k&n”

“Super fast Delivery as usual. Good Points, looks very nice under the hood and much much better than the standard air box... makes a lovely burble noise when you turn the engine off and a nice groan when driving. Does it make my MX5 go faster as hugely debated about induction kits, yes a bit more responsive but best at higher end!!!Bad PointsI had to send the one back as scratched and the new replacment one was fine. (sent out quick like usual, thank you MX5 Parts). Fitting the viper to the car was a bit of a nightmare. The tube on the viper is a bit bigger than the car tube you fix it to, so I had to put tape around the car tube to get a snug fit then tighten clip. I think pipercross need to look at this as it does not have the perfect fit. Overall, bit expesive but looks great and does help a little with response, requires a bit of work to get the desired snug fit.”
