EBC Yellowstuff Front Brake Pad SetEBC Yellowstuff is an aramid fibre based brake compound with high brake effect from cold and is possibly one of the first ever compounds that can be used for STREET AND TRACK DRIVING. These pads do not require warm up but do get even stronger under the heat of hard driving. These are not a low dust pad and if your desire is for a low dust premium street use pad, you should consider EBC Redstuff. When considering full race use, Yellowstuff has been a strong favourite, having been used for two years in the Swedish Camaro Cup and at numerous other race events where a stock caliper system is fitted. It is also the choice of 90% of the Mazda MX5 Miata competitors in the UK race series and has an unblemished record as rotor friendly track pad for vehicles up to 2000 lbs weight or 200 BHP.Fits all Mk1 1.8 models, 1993>1998(Please ensure you measure the outside diameter of your current discs and see table below PRIOR to ordering) 1.6 Standard Brake1.8 Standard BrakeFront Discs255mmFront Discs255mmRear Discs251mmRear Discs251mm 1.6 Big Brake 1.8 Big BrakeFront DiscsN/aFront Discs270mmRear DiscsN/aRear Discs276mm

Really Enjoyed using the yellow stuff on the road, great bite from cold but unfortunately took them on track and they only lasted one day at Cadwell Park! Now might be my technique but would have imagined that I could get more than a day use out of them! Also managed to cook my brake fluid which then entrained air into the system. After the track day changed back to the OEM pads for a half day at Blyton Park and have to admit that although the bite is better with the EBCs at almost triple the price I would recommend OEM pads and change them at the end of the day instead of wasting your hard earned cash on these!

Absolutely awesome pads for street , autocross and a trackdays applications. The advantage with these is that they have bite even from cold, which means that you won't have to warm up your pads to have stopping power! Don't forget to couple these with quality brake fluid and braided hoses, and you have the best stopping power available with stock brake setup.

I\'ve had no problems with yellowstuff pad in the past and I\'ve bought quite a few bits and pieces from MX5Parts in the 9 years I\'ve owned MX5\'s.MX5 parts used to be quite reasonable when it came to postage, but they have definitely gone down hill. £9.95 postage for a set of pads is outrageous especially as they are using Citylink that do not deliver on Saturdays. Previously orders placed before 1pm on a Friday used to turn up on a Saturday using RM, not anymore. If I\'d have known I would have been better off paying £57 for a set from ebay that includes free 2-3 day delivery. This will be my last order from MX5parts, they just don\'t offer value for money anymore!!Editors Note: Thank you for your comments, and to be fair that delivery charge does seem to be excessive. Each one of the 4,500 products on the website has it\'s own weight put into the system to allow for the calculation of carriage charges. There is every possibility that the weight for this may be incorrect so we will certainly investigate this. In the mean time, someone will be in touch soon to discuss your particular order.

Looking for a brake pad that's fine for normal road use, but also capable for all day abuse out on track? Buy Yellowstuff. Fitted mine at the same time as new standard discs. My MX5 is used for weekend summer fun and occasional trackdays. With the previous standard pads on my first ever track day the car suffered from brake fade and also some rather unpleasant smells which I believe were coming from the brakes. Since fitting the Yellowstuff (front & rear) I've had absolute confidence in late & hard braking all day long. Worried about lack of braking when cold? I was, but no need. By the time I've driven out of my cul-de-sac it stops fine, and then improves with heat. Any negatives? The only thing I can think of is the extra brake dust that is generated, but as I tend to clean & polish my beloved '5 after every outing I'm really not bothered. I will definitely buy again.

Big improvement over the green stuff pads I used before in both braking performance and feel. They do require some bedding in to get the best results, but even during this stage they are excellent. I used to use these pads on my classic minis for both road and full race use and so expected a lot from them . These pads will not disappoint! Can squeal a little when driving in traffic but this is a very small price to pay for the performance increase. I would use nothing else, a top quality product.

Superb increase on breaking power. Didn't notice any need to heat up first
