EBC Yellowstuff Front Brake Pad SetEBC Yellowstuff is an aramid fibre based brake compound with high brake effect from cold and is possibly one of the first ever compounds that can be used for STREET AND TRACK DRIVING. These pads do not require warm up but do get even stronger under the heat of hard driving. These are not a low dust pad and if your desire is for a low dust premium street use pad, you should consider EBC Redstuff. When considering full race use, Yellowstuff has been a strong favourite, having been used for two years in the Swedish Camaro Cup and at numerous other race events where a stock caliper system is fitted. It is also the choice of 90% of the Mazda MX5 Miata competitors in the UK race series and has an unblemished record as rotor friendly track pad for vehicles up to 2000 lbs weight or 200 BHP.Fits all Mk1 1.6 models, 1989>1998

Used these pads on my 90 MK1 1.6 for about 5000 km and now they are completely gone. They've worked very well but 5000 km are really few... and they are noisy too...

I use these pads everyday on a 60 mile round trip. They have a wooden feel when cold but do have a reasonable bite. To get the most from these pads they really should be warmed up before embarking on a sprited drive. On the track these are a totally different animal. Once fully warmed up these pads (coupled to EBC turbo discs) provide so much stopping power. I managed to brake later and so much harder than some cars with big brake upgrades. I was supprised how hard I could brake before the wheels locked. The warmer the pads became the better the feel through the pedal and the more confidence I gained. Brake fade was non exsistant and I managed to keep on going braking just as hard for lap after lap when others had to pit to allow their brakes to cool down. The best track pad I have used. These are a little bit of a swine to fit if you fit new discs at the same time. They don't make as much of a mess of your wheels as standard road pads either.Recommended for those spirited/track drivers out there.

Had these pads fitted now for approx 2000 miles. Fitted them with new calipers and EBC Turbo discs. These are buggers to fit with new discs due to the thick yellow paint on the back of the pad.To get the best from these pads you really, really need to warm them up. Whilst there is good bite from cold there is very little feel and you do sometimes wonder if they will stop you without locking up.Once warm though, and I'm talking track day/very twisty road warm they are something else. They can stop you dead and keep doing so for lap after lap after lap. When others are having to come off the track after 15-20 laps you can keep going with the same confidence every lap.Probably not the best pad to use on the road though. Even if you are a spirited driver, you wont get quite enough heat into them to get the best from them.

I use these both on my race and road MX5. It is very hard to explain how good these pads really are! Dont waist money on expensive big disc and calipar upgrades! these give the power of a big disc but with greater pedal feel. A+ (I'm not being paid by EBC by the way, they are just sooooo good).
