These Mazda covers look really good on the car. The instructions supplied say "expert fitment required". Indeed I had to overcome a couple of issues which were not covered by the instructions.1) The parts kit included a couple of washers for the bolts which attach the cover popper brackets to the car. These washers were not identified on the enclosed parts list. Not such a big deal until you discover that the bolts won't tighten up properly on the bracket so the washer has to be placed under the conical bolt head in order that the bracket is held firmly. The washers raise the bolt heads above the brackets so they don't look "right". I tried all permutations of nut bolt and washer but this was the only one that worked. Without the washers (as pictured in the instructions), the bolt heads are too small to tighten up on the brackets and they are very loose.2) These fixing bolts are totally concealed by the seat belt cover trims but these did not sit correctly when refitted. I removed foam packing pieces from inside the trim but they are still a bit higher than they were. Again I think the washers are to blame.5 stars for external appearance but 1 star for fitting so 3 stars overall.

When I bought this I thought it was a full cover, so I was a little disappointed to find it is just two side covers, which seems pretty expensive. However once fitted looks really good and finishes the retracted roof off well. Easy to fit and remove.Cannot understand why instructions are not included, but did get them emailed quickly. For some reason they would not print properly so this was really inconveinient! Also it did not help that the left bracket was fitted to the right panel so it took a while to realise they were supplied round the wrong way.I suppose it added to the experience going back and forward to the PC to see why I could not get it to fit, I am pretty good at DIY just assumed it would be supplied correctly. Anyway good quality product if a little expensive.

I originally thought that these side tonneau covers ought to have been supplied as standard equipment with every Mk 3 MX-5. However, I can now see that if your MX-5 is used for regular transport (mine is not) where you're regularly lowering and raising the roof then it's likely that you won't bother to fit these covers each time. However, if like me you're in the lucky position of having an MX-5 for high days and holidays (and therefore mostly drive with the roof down) then these covers beautifully cover up the dust traps on each side of the folded roof, significantly smartening up the appearance. Note that the tonneau brackets don't interfere with normal roof operation. When I do raise my roof I simply pop the covers in the boot.Like other reviewers I didn't receive fitting instructions in the pack, but like other reviewers these were promptly e-mailed to me by MX5parts. Fitting is simple, but unless you've fitted before you will need the instructions (which are however slightly confusing and certainly poorly numbered [with two step 7s!]). Note that the brackets are handed (mine were confusingly pre-attached to the wrong covers!).

Asked if these could be fitted with the detachable hard top side pillars on the wifes car, they fit with no problem. They finish off the look with the soft top down and also fill the space well with detachable hard top fitted on the car. They do make a huge difference. The instructions were not in the sealed box on arrival but MX5 parts emailed them to me straight away(thankyou).

Received the Side Tonneau very promptly thank you. No fitting instructions included but managed to locate some on the web. They look very neat and improve the appearance nicely, not as good as a proper tonneau but quite nice.

Very nice, comfortable fit, but as with review above, no instructions and it's not obvious wher ethe brackets go. Fabric match to hood is very good.

Just recieved the tonneau covers I ordered, great delivery service came on the day I asked which is a first.Only thing is there are no fitting instructions. I thought it would be obvious how to fit but it isn\'t, well not to me. So looked on site but can\'t find any instructions. Disapointed as it\'s great weather to-day sowas hoping to fit.Editors note: The instructions should have been in the box, however we do keep a large database of fitting instructions for just this situation, these can be sent or emailed immediatly by simply contacting a member of our customer services team.
