“I bought this aerial base with the recommended stubby aerial to replace the electric aerial on my mark 2.5. The electric aerials are prone to failure and expensive to replace. The installation was very easy, is an excellent fit and the radio reception on all wave bands is first class. The stubby black aerial looks good on the car. Very prompt delivery from MX5 Parts.”

“I replaced the original electrical aerial with this base and the short stubby antenna.The whole procedure was done in less than 15 minutes.I had some initial concerns on how to screw and unscrew the top chrome nut. It has two holes in it. And instead of purchasing a tool for it, I recognized that a plain fork may do the job. The end tips of the fork to the holes. Using pliers just bend the middle unused tips away, and adjust the distance of the two outermost ones so they fit perfectly. This worked fine for me.”

“After seeing some contradictory information online about being able to replace the electrical ariel base with a manual one with a stubby ariel I called mx5 parts. Customer service was fantastic, I was walked thorugh what to buy and how to replace my broken ariel. The actual task took around five minutes and was very simple.”
