Alignment Bolt Set Genuine Mazda MX5 Mk1/2/2.5 Reviews

Genuine Mazda PartFront or rear suspension alignment bolt set.The front and rear suspension on the MX-5 is fully adjustable for 'camber', 'castor' and 'toe' by means of adjusters on the lower wishbone arms. Various problems can be encountered with these adjusters. 1. The bolts can be seized in position requiring replacement.2. The early (pre Mk2) bolts can stretch in use, allowing the alignment settings to move.In both cases we would recommend replacing the bolts with the latest version. You also have to replace the plates and nuts at the same time as they are not interchangable. You require 8 sets per car, 4 at the front and 4 at the rear, ie 2 per wishbone arm.A set is 1 x Bolt, 1 x Cam Plate, 1 x NutFits all Mk1, Mk2 & 2.5 models, 1989>2005

I bought a set of these for the rear spruce up of my 97 NA. They're a doddle to fit and i'll be ordering more (when MX5Parts have them in) for when i do the front end. Excellent service as always from MX5Parts.

I fitted these to my 1989 eunos a few months ago. The only small issue i had, was that the washers were a bit smaller than the gap they fitted into, so if your pushing the wishbone out, and then decide to pull it in a bit, it was a bit difficult to control the movement. But they are more than up to the job, just a bit fiddly. The old rusty ones i took off had bigger washers, so it would have been a bit easier with them.

i too had problems like this. i ordered 8 sets and one of them had a hugely larger plate and would not fit. i sent it back but was told it must have been lost in the post as they did not recieve it.I had seven correct ones and one which was larger so there is a problem somewhere.

I also could not get these to fit. Service and delivery was great, however; when the bolts arrived, i just cannot see how they go on. There are previous reviews saying they dont fit, then the same guy reviews again saying that its his mistake and they do. I however cannot see how mine would fit, The problem is that the "disc" part of the cam bolt is a different size on the ones i received compared to the stock ones (3-4mm larger) so they dont fit into the recess. I've tried every way and orientation i can think of but they just wont go in. I will try and return them, hopefully they will let me as its been a while now since i took delivery. Its not a problem with MX5parts, i think it must of just been a dud batch manufactured by Mazda (They are genuine mazda!)Good item, good price, but they might be wrong when you get them. However im confident the guys will do everything they can to sort you out.

Further to my previous review I am extremely grateful to MX5 Parts for their hard work in investigating this matter and confirming the solution. The bolts are indeed correct even though they may not look it at first.Apologies for any confusion.

Just a heads up. My car is a very early MK1 (1989) and this alignment bolt set was not suitable. The loose plate (with the alignment marks) is significantly too large to fit in the recess on the wishbone arms.I am not a D.I.Y mechanic so I had a professional alignment carried out (by a well known firm known to many MX5 owners) and wished to change the old bolts whilst I was at it. These newer type bolts would not fit without significant modification of the plate.Sorry for the poor rating.Editors Note: We have looked into this and the alignment bolt we sell is the only one available from Mazda for all vehicles 1989>2005, and is the one listed for your particular vehicle. They can take a bit of playing with, and will only fit in one way but they do fit. Someone will be in touch with you shortly to discuss this.
