“Hi there, I just finished the installation of my new exhaust manifold on a 1.6 NA Quality looks good, but I have 2 comments. First comment, the gasket provided with the manifold looks very low-end, I decided to use the original one from Mazda. Second comment is about the bracket that is on the original manifold attached to the gearbox. The stainless steel manifold does not have the braket and then is just hold with main nuts onto the engine. I wonder whether or not this might be an issue on the long term.”

“had for 5 months expect a hole in the manifold if you drive hard... other that than its good quality apart from one weld on mine.”

“Beautiful and well-made item! The manifold fitted without problem and I found I could open-up the wiring harness just enough to free the O2 sensor wire to allow to it to reach the new sensor location without strain. Highly recommended upgrade.”

“Looks nice and well made. Fiment was excellent, dropped straight into place. A lot easier than extracting the oem header and downpipe. Oem O2 sensor wire might need extending as the bung is located quite far down. This on a LHD 1991 model.”

“Great manifold, really easy to fit once original had been removed, which I admit was a task of dedication without hoist facilities.New set up has a very pleasing sound when accelerating hard but can be almost un-noticed from standard when driving normally, the last thing I wanted was an intrusive howl following me around all the time.This was fitted with the complete system including single tailpipe rear box and de-cat which were purchased first and the quality was so good it seemed a shame not to fit the complete setup.Noticeable power increase and it's delivery is good as well. Good service from MX5 parts was appreciated.”

“I've had this exhaust for just over five years it has been great. Its give a throaty tone to proceedings and gives you slightly more low end pull by the bum dyno. Only down side for me is lack of another sensor bung.I have just bought it again though and am reviewing to give a warning to all. DO NOT HEAT WRAP. Whilst good quality heatwrapping this item allows water splashed up to not boil off. This has persistent water has rusted through the entire exhaust (worst at the lowest points) and created a growl like a Top Fuel dragster (its hideous) that I had to cope with for a 3 hour journey home where I could leave it (through embarrassment) until I could afford another.”
