Genuine Mazda PartCentre Console Face Plate (Radio Surround)This is the plastic surround for the radio on all Mk1 cars, MX-5 or Eunos.This is a genuine Mazda part, so you can be assured that the fit and finish are of the highest quality.For reasons best known to someone else, Mazda changed the faceplate in 1994 to a taller version, but only on left hand drive models. This one is the most common type and fits all right hand drive Mk1 models 1989>1998, and left hand drive up to 1993. If you are in any doubt as to whether this is the correct one, click on the photo at the top right of the page and hit next which will show you how to tell the difference. “Fits perfectly, but be aware, colour is different to the rest of the centre console. It is NOT darker due to the sun bleaching the rest of the interior, but is actually LIGHTER. It's a minor inconvenience, but better than a broken face plate.”

“Ordered 3pm. Arrived 10am next day. That's the way a business should be run. Superb.Not fitted yet but anticipate no problems replacing my existing face plate which has cracked and broken beyond belief with this genuine Mazda part.Superb service and a special offer as well!”

“Bought this centre face plate a year ago but only just plucked up courage to fit it !! I am not normally good with anything like this and usually find the job turns out to be much more difficult then first thought. The problem was the existing face plate was cracked in several places and the hazard and headlight button had broken off their spigots ( causing the car to fail the MOT|). In the past previous owners had tried to repair the face plate with alraldite glue!!.Got the face plate off without any problems to find that most of the spigots had broken including those that held the radio in place! vasalined all the old spring clips and fitted to the new face plate. Also fitted a cubby box mainly to support the radio weight. Everything fitted perfectly! Following other reviews about the difficulty getting the air vent balls out I re- fitted them so that the spring clips did not go into the recesses on the sides of the air vent balls so I can get them out easily if I have to in the future.”

“I replaced this because my old one had a lot of cracks when I bought the car.It's easy to fit and looks good.Like other peoples said it got a slightly different color than the rest of the interior but it's really not that noticable.It even seems to "fade in" after some time so I am very pleased with this item.”

“Excellent fit and finish. So easy to fit. Previous one was damaged in a break in. Pretty flimsy though and you have to be carefull handling it so as not to break it. Colour is slightly off but my mx-5 is 1991 and probably faded by sun exposure. Very satisfied with results.”
