“fast delivery as usual, i stripped my caliper and found the old circlip had fallen out of its recess, so the piston would not adjust, i gave everything a clean up and replaced all the seals from the kit, following a video on youtube. took less than an hour including bleeding the system, nice easy fix and a lot cheaper than buying a refurbished one, worth a try if you feel confident enough”

“Thanks to your caliper seal kit, I rejuvenate quite easily the rear brakes : all the necessary parts were included and of very good quality.I have been so happy to be able to do so, as in France you cannot refit calpier since more than 20 years, due to some strange (and onerous) regulation”

“The correct circlip is supplied (as of may 2011 if not before) . As others have commented, removing that circlip can be very, and I mean very, difficult. I had to grind down a pair of circlip pliers to fit inside the caliper - a sharp ended pair of tweezers might do it, if they are strong enough. Others have used dental picks. It's like doing keyhole surgery. You need to remove it to get access to the o-ring seal on the spindle adjuster. If you are not changing this or lubricating the 'hot dog' for the handbrake, the job will be much simpler although the outer piston seal is tricky too. Circlip pliers can also be used to remove the outer adjuster from the back. The kit is good - some places charge 5 quid for the bleed screw alone.”
