“Having previously fitted a genuine Mazda thermostat to my other car I thought I would try this aftermarket item. Excellent next day delivery as usual and this "waxstat" item seems fine. Somewhat simpler in design to the genuine article but plenty of cars seem to run on a simple "waxstat" so only time will tell. I have fitted it and all seems well, the car is running at the correct temperature (it was running cool before as the original stat was stuck open). To be fair it was probably worth 5 stars, certainly the service was but I gave it four as I do not know hw it will perform in the long term.”

“Seems a good quality product ! Been runnung without one for long time... only found out doing a coolant change, opened up housing and nothing was there :( All sorted now... a bit of gasket sealent each side to make sure of no leaks ! BEWARE doing up the two bolts too tight asI did and the head snapped off one! grrrrrrr Had to drill it out and rethread the hole :(”
