My old piano black dash was badly scratched so I fitted one of these. The panel lifts the interior and looks great in the sun with the roof down.

Purchased this panel to replace the piano black one which was scratched. I agree with the previous review written for this item - hard to understand why more people have not purchased it and written a review. Lifts the cabin no end and looks more expensive than the piano black one I replaced. Fiiting was easy if you follow the instructions provided but I was surprised at the amount of trim that had to be removed (which included the stereo - just to get access to two of the screws holding in the old panel). A tip is to have some WD40 handy - not only to help get screws out but also makes it easier when screwing it all back together again. Well worth the money considering you have to look at it every time you drive your car.

I can't believe I am the first person to write a review for this product! This is a great addition to the interior of the MX5 and is 100 times more attractive then the standard glossy black panel which was a massive fingerprint magnet.Don't be put off by the fact that this panel does not match the other silver features in the cabin, it is not intended to. Rather this is supposed to be a feature much like the original piano black piece way. It does not clash with the silver features in the cabin and compliments them nicely.Fitting was really quite easy, i used a small screwdriver wrapped in a cloth to pry away the original black panel and slid the screwdriver around behind the trim slowly pulling it away from the dash as I went. Replacing with the new panel was a simple matter of pushing it into place.Couldn't be happier - a very good purchase!
