Replacement Stubby Aerial Mast for the Mk3, 3.5 & 3.75This replacement is only 17.5cm tall vs 40.0cm for the original, and works just as well. No loss of reception at all. We tried lots of cheaper aftermarket aerials, but they all had a reduction in reception quality, so we have sourced this one from one of Japanese top OEM manufacturers. The price is higher, but the quality is without fault. “Smaller is better, Looks neater than original, easy to fit just unscrew original and screw new in its place. not quite the same size at the base, does leave a part of the chrome base showing, but not to worry it looks better. The performance is the same I have no problems with all the stations that I received before. Good value worth fitting”

“Fitting was very easy but reception was not as good as original aerial so reverted to original. Tried stubby aerial with Pure Highwway DAB and reception again was poor - with original aeiral reception is excellent.”

“No discernable reduction in radio quality, but can now walk into the garage without getting an aerial in the eye (or nose). Just have to remember to pop it in the boot when parking.”

“Excellent quality and simple to fit, reception just as good, I think it is slightly better but that may be the placibo effect. I don't know why other people have whinged about the chrome ring showing when fitted, I think it enhances the appearance and being chrome it is unlikely to corrode. Overall it is a very nice enhancement and looks much better than the original. Fantastic service as always from MX5parts.”

“Ordered 2pm Friday and delivered Saturday morning.......cant get any faster than that. Aerial looks the part and the exposed chrome ring at the base compliments the chrome on the car already. Reception is actually better than the standard OEM having tested it on several stations. Well done again mx5parts.”
