“Leather gaiter is a nice quality item. Once I fitted it I added some leather conditioner to blend in with the rest of the leather interior. Looks good!”

“I ordered the leather handbrake- and gear lever gaiter. I found out that they are both completely different. Both are from IL motorsport. The leather is different, one is glossy, the other has a matte finish. Also the stitching is different. You would expect both leathers to be the same, just like the stitching. the quality is reasonable, i don't like the shiny leather. The holes don't fit perfectly.”

“Not hard to install on my 2000 Jasper Conran and looks great. Easy to peel off the top rind of the old gaiter and fit to the new one. Once I realised that the punched holes are not holes for screws but are for the retaining lugs to fit into, and that there are more holes than I needed, fitting was a synch.”

“A great improvement over the original part. Not too difficult to fit but as mentioned in another review it is essential to remove the plastic ring from the old gaiter and stick it to the leather one with a contact adhesive. This will ensure a perfect fit against the base ot the standard gear knob. I fitted the handbrake gaiter at the same time. Basically the more time and care you take the better the final result.”

“More difficult to fit than the handbrake and no instrucitions supplied. Also this gaiter does not come with the ring in the top like the original. I installed it without a ring using an after market gear knob so could hide the edges inside the gear knob thread. You could re-use the ring from the original but you would need to peel it off and glue it back on the new leather gaitor. For this reason it drops one star.
