“After earlier failed attempts to access the instrument cluster thwarted in trying to remove the clamshell. I used a little common sense and hey presto success. Needle Caps delivered within 24 hrs and duly fitted. An excellent subtle bit of bling well worth the money.Great advise and service from mx5parts.”

“I like to plan ahead.In anticipation of ordering these needle cap covers I have tried in vain to remove the clamshell instrument cover.Despite advice from mx5 parts I am at a loss.I have tried pulling/pushing and lifting to release the clips etc.Mine is a 2002 mk 2.5.How did you do it?All help would be v well received. Thanks.”

“I initially purchased a set and fitted these a year ago. They look great at the time...But during the cold winter months, one of the needle caps bubbled up and looked awlful. I had no choice but to purchase another set just to replace the damage cap. I've kept the remainder of the recent replacement set as spares just incase any more should suffer the same fate over the next winter months. At nearly £16 a set, I expected these to last longer than this. :-(”

“These are high quality and lovely chrome on well engineered metal. Double sided tape blobs are provided to hold them in place. So easy to install with console out of the car. I fitted these with Vintage Chrome rings and cream Lockwood dials. Used a red chisel tipped permanent marker on the top side of the instrument needles and it all looks fabulous!”

“I quite liked these initially but over the cold weather period one of them has rippled/bubbled up.It looks rubbish now.I have had these in the cupboard (indoors) for ages (maybe years) and only got round to fitting them in October, so fairly disappointed and not representative of I.L. or mx5parts normal level of quality.JonathanEditors note: Sorry to hear you have experienced problems with this item.
