The usual next day delivery that I have come to expect from MX5 Parts. This definately DOES fit a Mk2 with a SCREEN mounted mirror. I would advise "dry" fitting it first, Dropping the hood down makes it a little easier too. The screen mounting on my Mk2 has a stalk with two ball and socket swivels. Pass the cut out slot in the cover over the windscreen swivel first, then tilt the mirror down slightly and push the dimmer tab forward. Slide the cover onto the mirror making sure that he dimmer tab goes through the cut out square in the cover. Simple! My kit came with an alchohol wipe and adheasive tape primer. Wip the back of the mirror down first with the wipe, then apply some of the primer to the mirror back. Peal off the stickiy tape backing and fir the mirror cover just like you have practiced in your dry run. It should take you just minutes to fit.The cover looks to be nice quality and fits my mirror very well. It leaves a black rim round the edge of the mirror which looks good. It looks just right when fitted. I'm very pleased especially as I bought it on a Bank Holiday discount.Thank again MX5 Parts.

Received quickly as always!I was a little worried that it was going to be difficult to fit after reading the reviews but I got it anyway. After a little problem solving session (IL Motorsport, PLEASE start including instructions with your stuff!!!) I realised it's NOT THAT DIFFICULT! When you're offering the part up to the mirror slot it onto the mirror mounting 'stalk' at the end that fixes to the windscreen NOT near the mirror itself (as it simply won't fit if you try and slip it over the mirror straight away) then slide it down the cylindrical 'stalk' towards the mirror itself and it fits nice and easy!4 stars instead of 5 as the finish does feel a little 'cheap'. Also, the sticky pads that keep it held onto the mirror make it so the cover doesn't cover the black plastic of the mirror completely, as mentioned in another review; around 1-2mm of black plastic protrudes from the cover.

If you have the rear view mirror that fits directly to the ROOF of the car forget it this won't fit. I tried, my hubby tried, my neighbour tried, to no avail. Having eventually removed the roof fixed mirror to try to get this part to fit, I decided, out of curiosity, to buy a mk2 WINDSCREEN fixing mirror from my local scapyard for £10.00, and hey presto the chrome piece fits like a glove, so I am using it. The two tiny holes that were left showing in the roof have been covered with a small square chrome clock and looks like it was always there, so all's well that ends well.

No problems with the fit here. To fit the cover correctly (do a dry run first without removing the backing off of the stickers), place the cover over the ball joint closest to the windscreen then push the 'dip' lever towards the windscreen and then just slide the cover into place. Would have give 5 stars but would benefit from having some kind of instructions. Looks really nice on and compliments the chrome wing mirrors on the car!

I cannot get this to fit for the life of me. I have tried everything but there\'s just no way it\'s going to go on my car\'s rear view mirror. I\'m far from stupid but this one has me beaten, and I can see from the other reviews that I am not alone. What a waste of money this wasy - it\'s plastic and will break if I use any sort of force so its £20 down the plughole for me.Editors note: Sorry to hear you have had problems fitting this item.
