It has a much bigger glovebox and longer arm rest, and is ready to take the original lock and window switches. “Received promptly as with all previous purchases, and looked the business, a good match with the new tombstone centre fascia I also bought. After swapping over the widow switch and gear lever gaiter I noticed there was no rubber "window" for the boot/fuel release, so quickly fabricated one. After fitting fascia, time to fit the centre console, which is where the problems started,firstly had to re route the electric window wiring connector as the pocket as seem in the picture is solid and leaves no room for the wiring, easily sorted, although inconvenient. Then the big problem, there was no way to get the facing edges of the fascia and the angled front of the console to match up, I have had to settle for a tapering gap from nothing at the top to a 4 mm gap a at the bottom. I have lifted and brought forward the front edge of the fascia but it still will not match up correctly. The other fault is the console could do with being about 8 mm longer as it leaves a gap to the panel behind the seats, and this also means the fuel filler release interferes with the inside of the console. Sorry to be negative about the fit of this product, as overall I really like the look and ergonomic design, much better than the original design, and looks great with the new fascia! In conclusion, well designed but poorly fitting product, a bit on the expensive side as well, not up to the standard of the many parts I have bought from MX5 Parts.”

“Superb service as ever. The console has transformed the look of the interior, so much smarter. Fitted the radio/heater face plate and elbow pad too - looks the nuts!! Only slight mod was to cut a window out of the protrusion on the right of the handbrake cover to accommodate the slightly wider console.”

“J'ai commandé l'ensemble garniture ainsi que l'accoudoir, les deux sont de bonne qualité mais j'ai eu la mauvaise surprise de voir que le compartiment pour les lunettes sur le côté était mal fixé j'ai du donc m'en chargé (un peu déçu au vu du prix).dommage que l'accoudoir ne soit pas déjà dessus...mais cela reste quand même plus pratique que celui d'origine!”

“Prefect Replacement and addition to my MX-5 MK1, the description speaks for itself. I'm currently waiting for the cushion arm rest to be available via MX5part website. However it would have been great if the item was install on the centre console already.”
