Mountney SR locking wheel nut set. A cheaper, aftermarket option over the genuine Mazda version. Unlike the Mazda ones, being shorter, these will fit on most OE and aftermarket wheels (They will not fit the multispoke BBS as there is so little clearance)Fits all Mazda MX5 models 1989>  When refitting wheel nuts, they should always be done up to the correct torque setting. Bought this locking wheel nut set to replace my rusted ones. Well made and good value for money. Look very neat on the car. Recommended.

These are the only locking nuts I've found for the original seven spoke alloy wheels (with the large centr cap) as the wheel stud passes through the nut, unlike others. I would have scored 4 for the product because, as mentioned in other reviews, the key for the nut uses an 18/19 mm socket (has the ability to take both) which is different from the standard nuts.Excellent service from the staff at MX5parts (hence the 5 score) especially after an initial mix-up when placing the order by 'phone.

Very pleased with these - good price and they do the job! Be aware however that the removal tool requires either a 17mm or (deep) 20mm socket, which may be different from the other wheel nuts (my 2.5 Nevada has 21mm nuts) so you may need to carry 2 different sizes of socket in your boot….Delivery was top notch as well – ordered 1:30pm Tuesday, delivered before 4pm next day, after several emails detailing order progress, including a 1-hour delivery window – superb! Why can’t all mail order companies be as good as this?

Whilst these are perfectly suitable for the MX5, the key which comes with them has a different size head to the existing non locking nuts, and as such will require either an adapter or a new wheel bolt spanner thing (ten quid at halfords)shame really as the nuts themselves are a lot better design than the mazda ones, ie will not break easy/eat the key.
