Front Brake Discs EBC Turbo Groove MX5 Mk1 1.6 Reviews

EBC Turbo Groove Performance Front Disc SetThe wider slot actually draws cool air across the pad surface keeping pads and rotors cooler. They also expel dust, dirt and hot gases better than fine slots which eventually fill with rust and scale and become ineffective in our opinion. The blind drilled holes break down surface gases when braking from speed but do not weaken the rotor cross section as can happen with through drilling, thereby lessening the chance of rotors cracking over time and heavy use. These discs are Zinc coated to reduce corrosion.Supplied (and priced) as a matched PAIRFits all Mk1 1.6 models, 1989>1998Please Note: Left Hand Drive Automatic cars from 1990>1998 used 1.8 brake discs and pads. Right Hand Drive Automatics used 1.6 components. If in doubt, please check the diameter of your discs.

Superb service from MX5part as usual. Just got theese babyes for my 91 eu-edition, and everything went smoothly on the installation part. super easy. Got theese with the EBC Greenstuffs and i noticed right away much better sensetivety and breaking power in high speed. Worth every coin.!

These look very nice from the box with their adonised look. However, after one nights rain they turned orange. I would expect it on the contact patch as the anti-corrosion stuff will wear off due to pad friction. I wouldn't expect to find that horrible orange colour in the groves, dimples and towards the centre of the disc.I use these with Yellow Stuff pads and the brakes are amazing when up to temperature. Think this is more down to the pad than the disc though. They look good if you are one of these who likes to baz up your car and park in McDonalds car park mind...
