Arrived very quickly and fitted very easily. I think the quality is excellient, probably better than the originals. Don't forget these have backing plates already fitted so you won't need to fit the ones that come with the Mazda fitting kit, this maybe the reason why some people have complained that they don't fit by a couple of mm. You WILL need the springs and anti rattle shims though. Got these because my handbrake wasn't holding the car. After fitting, with new disks, and adjusting the pistons, the handbrake is better than its ever been, very pleased!!

Yet another purchase from MX5parts that arrived the day after I ordered them :-)I now have these fitted all round. The fronts were fitted by a specialist while my car was in for a cam belt change a month or two ago. The rears I did myself last weekend. No problems at all. The set comes with "stick-on" shims but I elected to re-use the existing metal shims with a smear of copper grease on the pads and shims. These and the retaining clips and springs all clean up very easily. I found an excellent guide to fitting both the front and rear pads here www.atomineer.com/redmx5/mod_brakes.htmlI didnt use string however as suggested, I used two cable tie raps fixed together around the lower suspension arm to hold the caliper up out of the way. With the brake piston full wound back, I had no problems at all it fitting the new pads. The pads ahve a pink, slightly abrasive coating to the contact face which helps with the initial bedding in process. In use and with standard original disks, these work well. Braking seems smooth and progressive. Well reccommended.

Fitted these over the weekend. Took about half an hour or so either side. Only problem was fitting the spring W clips. Found the pads moved on the clips and fell off more than once. Ended up locking the pads into position with a small clamp. Getting the disc to turn against the transmission to set the piston was difficult so re-fitted the wheel, then reached behind it, screwed it in, then backed off half a turn. Also needed to take up a bit of slack in the handbrake cable. Works fine, pads bite from new. Quality product, great delivery. Just leaves the fronts to do now.

I bought both front and rear EBC greenstuff pads. I fitted the front pads in no time at all, but the rear pads were another story. The problem is that with the pistons of the rear calipers fully retracted using the allen key, you can't fit these pads in, ie the thickness of the pad is greater than the distance between the piston and the caliper body. They were 1-2mm too thick. What I had to do was to file down the edges of the rear pads - there was a lip all round the edge. Secondly I had to remove one of the shims so I could fit them into the gap.The quality control on these pads is somewhat lacking - EBC need to get their act together!

Fitted these and the fronts. As described they do noticably improve the braking over whatever had been prevoiusly fitted to my car. Great thumbs up, worth the money.
