EBC Greenstuff Front Brake PadsGreenStuff, The best fast road brakes (Max Power mega test winner). Roadsport Compound. Upgraded again for 2001 and beyond with a new V4 formulation, Greenstuff sets the standards by which others are judged on roadsport brakes. With the addition of non-ferrous fibres and other high tech ingredients EBC has raised the performance levels of this pad and extended durability by a factor of 100-200% Whilst dusting can be described now as average (far less than most original pads) the performance of this pad will delight any fast roadsport car user. With a friction co-efficient pushing the upper limits of Reg-90 compliance and a superb 650deg C temp limit, Greenstuff V4 version is not only unique; being Reg. 90 Approved, it also delivers powerful braking from cold, is kind to discs and reduces disc operating temps By 100-150deg C reducing disc distortion.Fits all Mk1 1.8 models, 1993>1998

super qualité mais légèrement plus épais que les plaquettes d'origine, du coup un peu difficile a remonté et carrément impossible a remonté avec les plaques "antibruit" d'origine.

I am replacing a set of the EBC Greenstuff pads on my Mk2.5 1.8. Here are the comparative mileages:Mazda original pads - 25,300 milesUnbranded pads - 17,400 milesEBC Greenstuff - 33,300 milesMy own feeling is the EBC ones are the messiest of the three, and the original Mazda ones were the cleanest. I couldn't honestly tell the difference in performance, the braking system of the car always seems progressive and to me at least, "well-specified for the task in hand".Incidentally, the car is now getting its first pair of replacement rear discs, and its second pair of replacement front discs. The original front discs were lost to corrosion, the unbranded replacements have worn away with the EBC pads. This is a late Mk2.5 car, registered in 2005.- Richard.

I got these with Turbo Groove discs. Dust is terrible to start with, but after about 200 miles it settles down to normal levels. Stopping power is good. The rear ones squeal slightly when first applied, which is annoying - they have the backing pads and copper grease, but it hasn't helped. Wear rate is pretty low, even with the grooved discs. Some people have had trouble with EBC pads separating from their backing plates - they're bonded, not riveted as in olden times - and this would probably put me off buying them again.

Fitted these and the rears. As described they do noticably improve the braking over whatever had been prevoiusly fitted to my car. Great thumbs up, worht the money

Excellent fast delivery and pads seem of good quality. I am still not clear about the shims. Are you supposed to fit any or not? I discarded the slotted shims but kept the shiny steel shims and fitted with copper slip and the seem OK. But are you suppoes to fit the pads as they come with no shims at all? Stewart Tavner
